An AI-automated platform giving vet clinics more time for the animals.
The platform
Vetsaround brings a veterinary clinic's entire day into a single AI-automated workspace.
Vets, nurses and reception work in it simultaneously, from booking to billing, so time moves from administration back to patient care. I led the research, built the design system and designed the entire product, across desktop, tablet and mobile and a dedicated iOS and Android app.
Research
User research
Before building, we observed how clinics work and where their day breaks down. Each pain point was captured on a note, coloured by role, and grouped into the problems the platform needed to solve.
- Vets
- Nurses
- Reception
- Paperwork everywhere: half my evening is typing up notes; the file is in a drawer somewhere; I write it twice, paper then computer; vaccination history? let me check the book. Led to: Digital records.
- Missed appointments: we call every client the day before; no-shows leave gaps all afternoon; people forget the booster dates; I spend mornings on reminder calls. Led to: Automatic reminders.
- No view of the day: who's waiting? I have to walk out and look; the schedule lives on a whiteboard; I never know which room is free; shifts and leave are in another app. Led to: Live daily view.
- Stock and billing surprises: we run out of vaccines without warning; unpaid bills slip through; stock counts happen on paper, monthly; invoicing takes a separate program. Led to: Billing & stock.
Designing the platform
Each problem from the research became a core part of the product.
I designed every flow around how clinics described their working day, on one design system shared by the platform and its website, and worked closely with engineering on feasibility and detail throughout the build.
From research to product
- 01Digital recordsPaperwork everywhere became patient files, visit notes and vaccination histories, shared across the team as they are updated.
- 02Automated remindersMissed appointments became reminders by SMS and email, replacing the morning of follow-up calls.
- 03Live daily viewNo view of the day became a real-time view of who is being seen, who is waiting and which rooms are free, with shifts and leave.
- 04Billing & inventoryStock and billing surprises became invoicing and payments, with inventory that updates with every visit and flags low stock.
- 05Design systemOne shared system of components, patterns and tokens, keeping every screen and platform consistent as the product grows.
- 06Desktop, tablet, mobile & native appsThe complete experience for the front desk, the exam room and on the move, with a dedicated iOS and Android app for vets and their teams.
The website
I designed and developed vetsaround.com end to end, in React and Next.js.
The site is the platform's front door for clinics: it explains what Vetsaround does, shows the time it returns to a practice, sets out pricing and invites clinics into early access, in Greek and English.
What I did
- 01DesignInformation architecture, narrative and visual language, shaped around how clinic owners evaluate software.
- 02DevelopmentA responsive, performant build in React and Next.js, with full Greek and English versions.
Outcome
A single AI-automated platform that returns time to veterinary clinics, presented through a website that makes its value clear.
- 01One workspace for the clinicAppointments, records, vaccinations, reminders, billing and inventory in a platform the whole team shares.
- 02Less administrationAutomated reminders and live, shared records replace follow-up calls, paper files and double entry.
- 03On every deviceDesktop, tablet, mobile and native iOS and Android apps, ready for a single practice or a network of clinics.
- 04A clear front doorA bilingual website that explains the platform's value and invites clinics into early access.
